I graduated with my MLIS degree from the Information School at the University of Washington in June 2011.
I am excited to begin a career in library service. I look forward to connecting people to information, ideas, and books, and promoting the library as the center of its community.
In the fast-paced world of information and technology, I aspire to deliver excellent service to diverse user groups by:
· promoting the library’s mission statement and services
· innovating the library’s vision
· embracing new technologies while holding onto established library principles
· exploring the library’s user groups and collaborating with community organizations
· promoting the library as a community resource
In five years, I see myself as a department head in a medium- to large-sized public library working with a diverse team of dedicated librarians working together to provide the services, tools, and programs for tomorrow’s library users.
